What To Expect When Renting a Car

There's a first time for everything, so if this is the first time you're planning to rent a vehicle, we have some advice and information for you to make it an easy and enjoyable experience. We've been in this business for awhile now, so I think new have some good experience with what customers deal with as well as what we expect from our customers.

Drive Safely

We'll admit, some of the locals can be a bit aggressive on the road compared to where you are from, so its important to be aware of what's going on around you and expect the unexpected. Florida is a busy state where people need to get from one place to the next as quick as they can. Be sure to keep an eye out for pedestrians and cyclists We highly suggest using defensive driving techniques during your stay here. We do offer insurance if you do not have your own.

There is likely to be high congestive traffic depending where you are headed from the airport. We suggest using a GPS or your phone to check traffic and best routes to your destination. Prior research before leaving will help you get there faster and safer.

Don't Forget Anything

It's an age-old tradition, or for most people a curse, that when you go on a trip you tend to forget at least one thing or object either at home or where you stayed. We have also found this to happen in our rented vehicles. We don't want you to forget anything, so here's some place to check to make sure you have everything you came with before you leave: check the glovebox, underneath the seats, cup holders, the trunk, and any other crevice that something may have fallen into.

Remember To Fill Up The Tank

This is a typical guideline most car rental companies have set in place to ensure that our customers are able to get in the vehicle and not have to worry about getting gas right away. This is especially true for our out-of-town customers who don't know the area very well and would have to find a gas station early on in their trip. Feel confident that when you rent a vehicle form us that the gas tank will be full.

So, out of courtesy for the next person who rents the vehicle you are currently renting, bring it back to us topped off with gas. If you're looking for a gas station nearby the airport here is a link to a map with the nearby gas stations and their prices.
